Our investing strategy involves one or more of the following:

1. We generally make investments in the $500,000 to $3,000,000 dollar range. We sometimes take on larger deals as the lead investor and syndicate out part of it.
2. We aim to take between a 20% to 60% ownership stake in our investee companies. We always require at least one board seat and are active in the strategic management of the company.
3. We seek to make investments in three areas in which Western Canadian entrepreneurs have shown to be globally competitive: oil and gas service (no E&P), agricultural technology, and medical technology. We seek entrepreneurs with a strong understanding of the problem they solve, a logical revenue model, and evidence of scalability.
